Sanjay was expected home yesterday on sick leave

The authorities of Yerawada Central Jail have reportedly confirmed that Sanjay Dutt will be taking a 10-day break. The furlough has been granted to the actor for treatment of a leg ailment. 

He is expected to fly from Pune on a chartered flight belonging to a personal friend. Once home, the actor will get immediate medical attention. 

While his industry friends are rejoicing that Dutt will be home for a short period, they are fully aware that he needs his privacy to catch up with his twins — Shahran and Iqra — and wife Maanayata. 

Fortunately for Sanju, his sisters — Priya and Namrata — live just a floor below with their respective families. So, coming home will give him a chance to meet the entire khandaan.

Sanjay Dutt to attend fundraiser organised by jail authorities

Sanjay Dutt, who is undergoing a jail term atYerawada jail in Pune, will participate along with the inmates in a fundraising event to be held at Balgandharva auditorium on September 26 in Pune.

Dutt will be among 50 members who will be participating in the event organised by the jail authorities to raise money for the prison department employees, said jail superintendentYogesh Desai.

Maharashtra chief minister Prithviraj Chavanand home minister RR Patil are likely to attend the cultural show featuring popular Hindi and Marathi songs. Asked about the security aspect, the official said that "adequate arrangements" are being made to bring and escort back the "performing artistes" to the facility.
