Bhatkal busts evidence in German Bakery case

NEW DELHI: Home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde may have ruled out the possibility of any reinvestigation in the 2010 Pune German Bakery blasts case, but Indian Mujahideen's (IM) key operative Ahmed Siddibappa alias Yasin Bhatkal, during interrogation, has not only exonerated Himayat Baig, sentenced to death in the case, but also busted the evidence collected by Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) that ensured Baig's conviction.

German group claims hacking iPhone 5S Touch ID

Volkswagen launches Polo GT TDI in India

NEW DELHI: German car makerVolkswagen today launched a new variant of its compact hatchback 'Polo GT TDI' in India, priced at Rs 8.08 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). 

The new variant, which comes with a 1.6 litre diesel engine, will be on sale from today, Volkswagen said in a statement. 

"We are committed to bringing in the latest and the most efficient vehicle technologies to the Indian market," said Arvind Saxena, Volkswagen Passenger Cars Managing Director. 

New Polo GT TDI has been created to cater to the requirements of discerning customers, who want the best possible mix of strong power delivery, outstanding driving dynamics and class-leading fuel efficiency, he added. 

"With this latest addition to the Polo range, which now includes the Polo GT TSICross Polo and Polo GT TDI, Volkswagen now offers Indian customers with unique motoring solutions for their specific requirements in the hatchback segment," the company said.
