Kenya terror attack: 20 Gujarati children missing, many feared dead

AHMEDABAD/NEW DELHI: Nearly 20 children from Gujarati families settled in Nairobi are reported missing in the terrorist siege of Westgate Mall which was ended by Kenyan forces on Tuesday, the fourth day of the stand-off. President Uhuru Kenyatta announced that five al-Shabaab terrorists had been killed and 11 taken into custody.

Gunfire, explosions as Kenyan troops battle to save mall hostages

NAIROBI: Heavy gunfire and loud explosions were heard at Nairobi's Westgate shopping mallon Monday as Kenyan troops fought Somali militants who were holding hostages after massacring at least 68 people. 

Jet gets code-share nod with five airlines

NEW DELHI: Days after the Etihad tie-up, Jet Airways has got yet another major boost to expand its global footprint and become the biggest Indian carrier in terms of network. The aviation ministry has allowed Jet to go for code-sharing with five airlines — American Airlines,Malaysian, Garuda of Indonesia, Vietnam Airlines and Kenya Airways. 

A code-share allows two or more airlines share the same flight. Passengers will buy ticket from one airline and take a flight operated by another airline, allowing partners to expand their global connectivity.
